Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content

World maintains a zero tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. Any content that violates our Community Guidelines will be removed immediately, and users who post such content will be permanently banned from the platform. All reports are reviewed and actioned within 24 hours.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using World ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and World Community Social, Inc. regarding your use of the Platform, including all features, content, applications, and services.

2. Platform Role & Nature of Service

World is a platform, not a party to transactions. We provide a venue for users to connect, share content, and engage in commerce. We are not a seller, buyer, or party to any transaction between users.

  • World does not own, sell, resell, furnish, provide, manage, or deliver any listings or items
  • World is not an auctioneer, agent, or insurer
  • World does not act as a payment processor - all payments are processed by Stripe
  • World does not guarantee any transaction or user identity

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use World. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

To sell items, receive payments, or withdraw funds, you must be at least 18 years old. This is required for legal and regulatory compliance with payment processing.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Not share your account with others or transfer your account

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you post on World. However, by posting content, you grant World a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display such content in connection with operating and providing the Platform.

You are solely responsible for your content. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the right to post the content
  • Your content does not violate any third-party rights
  • Your content complies with all applicable laws
  • Your content complies with our Community Guidelines

We may remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without notice.

6. Marketplace Rules

The World Marketplace allows users to buy and sell items. By using the Marketplace, you agree to:

  • Only list items you legally own and have the right to sell
  • Provide accurate descriptions and images of items
  • Honor completed transactions and ship items promptly
  • Not list any prohibited items (see Prohibited Items Policy)
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Sellers are responsible for:

  • Accurate listing descriptions and pricing
  • Fulfillment, shipping, and delivery
  • Customer service and communication with buyers
  • Handling returns and refunds per their stated policies
  • Compliance with tax obligations

7. Payments & Stripe

World does not hold, store, or transfer user funds. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor.

To receive payments or withdraw funds, you must set up a Stripe Connected Account and agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. By using payment features, you authorize:

  • Stripe to process payments on your behalf
  • World to instruct Stripe to transfer funds as applicable
  • World to collect platform fees from transactions

Funds from sales are deposited directly into your Stripe Connected Account. Withdrawals are processed by Stripe to your linked bank account, typically within 1-3 business days.

8. Fees

World charges the following fees:

  • Marketplace: No fees — sellers receive 100% of the sale price
  • Ads: Pricing varies based on campaign settings
  • Boosts: Pricing varies based on boost duration and reach

We reserve the right to change our fee structure with 30 days' notice.

9. Ads & Boosts

Ads and boosts are promotional features that increase content visibility. By purchasing ads or boosts:

  • Payments are made directly to World (not marketplace transactions)
  • Ads and boosts are non-refundable once delivered/activated
  • Promoted content must comply with our Community Guidelines and Ad Policies
  • World reserves the right to reject or remove any promoted content

10. Refunds & Disputes

Marketplace Transactions: Refunds for marketplace purchases are handled between buyers and sellers. Sellers are responsible for establishing and honoring their refund policies. World may assist in mediating disputes but is not responsible for refund outcomes.

Platform Services: Ads and boosts are non-refundable once delivered. In exceptional circumstances, World may issue credits at our sole discretion.

Payment disputes are handled through Stripe's dispute resolution process. Sellers are responsible for responding to and resolving disputes on their transactions.

11. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
  • Spam or engage in unauthorized advertising
  • Attempt to circumvent fees or manipulate the Platform
  • Use automated systems or bots without authorization
  • Interfere with the Platform's operation or security
  • Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions

12. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms or Community Guidelines
  • Fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activity
  • Repeated policy violations
  • Requests from law enforcement
  • Extended periods of inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

13. Intellectual Property

World and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the Platform, including all intellectual property rights. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Platform without our written consent.

The World name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of World Community Social, Inc.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WORLD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL WORLD'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO WORLD IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless World and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your content or listings
  • Any transaction you enter into with another user

17. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Informal Resolution: Before filing any claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@worldcommunitysocial.com. We'll try to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.

Binding Arbitration: If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you and World agree to resolve any disputes through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

Class Action Waiver: YOU AND WORLD AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

18. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Marketplace Terms, and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and World regarding your use of the Platform.
